Last week, MSCI hosted a Solace user group meeting at their Manhattan offices with incredible views overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge. Attendees came from all over the New York metro area to learn about customer use cases, the evolution of Solace technology, and of course to mix and mingle with Solace users and employees. We even had a mobile robotic telepresence device on site allowing some of MSCI’s remote workers to participate.
The keynote on the agenda was Trent Walker, Head of Development at MSCI, a leading financial services index and analytics provider, who gave us an in-depth view into their journey to Solace after their own messaging service built around OpenMQ experienced production outages.
Rick Reich, who is Chief Architect of Quantitative Trading and Research at Hartree Partners, shared with us the commodity firm’s plans for next generation trading infrastructure.
And finally, Solace’s CTO Shawn McAllister, discussed the roadmap for our appliance and VMR products, an exciting emerging partnership with Pivotal based around Cloud Foundry and key new developments around SEMP, our management protocol.
Thanks to all who joined us. We look forward to the next one!
