Dozens of Solace users recently came together in Singapore on the eve of the Singapore Grand Prix. They braved the chaotic setup scene outside for the chance to discuss Solace technology with fellow users, learn about recent product developments, and hear from customers like George Belsky of Citi, who shared insights into how they are using Solace to consolidate software messaging and feed their big data analytics infrastructure.
Some of our systems engineers gave attendees an up-close look at our I/O and other cards — a rare opportunity to see some of the hardware that helps power many Solace-based data movement systems. Attendees also took in a number of demonstrations including a geospatial routing demo leveraging pub/sub topics, video over messaging, and a “digital front office” demo of an insurance use case.
We ran a pretty geeky little lucky draw powered by our sdkperf testing tool, which yielded the winner Anupriya of Citi tickets to the next day’s Formula 1 race, and wrapped up the afternoon with a fun networking session.
We’re excited to see how those who attended follow up by participating in this developer portal, whether that be by asking questions, contributing a best practice or writing a guest post for our blog. We hope those who attended (and many more!) will join us for forward to seeing you again in Singapore for the St Patrick’s Day user group event on March 17, 2016!
